October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

The PBYFL is joining the American Cancer Society in recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness month.  In October, we will be honoring cancer survivors in a special way.  Survivors will be escorted onto the field by the special child in their life that's playing or cheering for the league.  These survivors deserve this special recognition!  Players and squads are encouraged to wear pink socks, ribbons, wrist bands, etc in support of this worthy cause.  We will have a donation jar at the concession stand the entire month.  Proceeds from this, along with the money the league donates, will be used to purchase wigs for survivors.  The league will also be donating a quilt to our local Cancer Society for women and men to use while they are undergoing chemo.  Players and cheer squads will be signing this quilt towards the end of the  month and we will be donating it to our local society.
